CELEBRITY Donald trump

Since being elected, President Donald Trump has had some pretty fierce protestors. Whether it came in the thousands of people taking to the streets in protest or the undercover vigilante taking a pickaxe to his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, it is clear the aversion to the current administration has no plan of dwindling anytime soon.

Responding to the repeated vandalism, The West Hollywood City Council has officially passed a motion to urge the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles City Council to remove the star from its Hollywood Boulevard location permanently.

John Duran, the mayor of West Hollywood took to Twitter to share the news of the unanimous vote, writing, "West Hollywood City council unanimously passes resolution asking the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove the Donald Trump star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. #horcruxdestroyed #bellicose #belligerent #unAmericanvalues #MakeAmericaintoAmericaAgain"

While the city council does of some clout over the land, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has repeatedly stated that they are not in the business of defaming celebrities. From stars such as Bill Cosby to Kevin Spacey, taking away their accolades would be taking away history.

However, the financial burden of repeated vandalism is a lot for a city to bear, especially when it is etched into the pavement. Perhaps Trump will have to hire a 24-hour security team to protect his pride?

Campo obrigatório
