Tiffany Haddish surely struck the wrong chord with her comments about Fifth Harmony at the MTV Video Music Awards. With former girl group member Camila Cabello being the star of the night, Haddish threw shade at the rest of her old bandmates.
Hadish, who was hosting the event, praised Cabello for her many nominations, then said, "So for those of you watching at home: hi, Fifth Harmony!” The entire venue collectively gasped and Cabello herself looked mortified.
Following the comments, Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui took to Twitter to call out Haddish. She wrote, "Waiting for the day when supporting one successful dope woman does not mean insult to other successful dope women. There is energy and space for us all to beautifully coexist and bless the world with our individual truths, stories and talents."

Even during the show, Nicki Minaj put her award speech on hold to scold Haddish for the comments. After thanking her fans, the rapper turned the host and said, "And don’t be coming for Fifth Harmony because Normani Kordei is that b****.”
Haddish has yet to respond to the backlash.
