Puma is getting a Barbie makeover
Goodbye heels, hello sneakers
Lisa McKnight, senior vice president and general manager of Barbie, discussed the collaboration in a statement with WWD. "Barbie is a really exciting canvas for brands to play with and we love our partnerships and we love working with partners and Puma represents a really exciting, iconic brand similar to Barbie,” she wrote.
Barbie is gearing up to celebrate her 60th birthday, which means lots of fashion collaborations. Recently, Mattel has worked with brands such as Sephora, Missguided, and Show Me Your Mumu.
While there are no official dates for the Puma x Barbie release, it is likely to occur sometime next fall. WWD reports items will range from about $50 to $100.
