“Tots are hot,” Robin Murphy, the 7‑Eleven director of fresh food said in the company's press release. The famous convenience store chain that is known mostly for frozen Slurpees and lottery tickets just leveled up with a tater tot bar.

In a mix between the potato appetizer and nacho condiments, the 7-Eleven Tot Bar lets customers load their bucket up with a choice of 10 different toppings.

Murphy says the expansion into the tater tot business is a way to stay hip. “They’re served up on appetizer menus at trendy bars and restaurants. You can even find tots and topping bars at weddings. 7‑Eleven has its own version of a tot bar for customers to create their own favorite tasty tot concoction. We encourage culinary creativity,” he said.

7‑Eleven Tots will be available at various participating locations. A small order of 10 tots will go for $1, and the large 25-tot order is priced at $2.
