Sir Elton John is currently on his 300-date ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’. His bombastic shows feature Gucci outfits and invitations for fans to watch from onstage. Performances had been plain sailing until a show in Las Vegas. The beloved musician recently stopped off at Caesars Palace, where distracting fans enraged Elton and provoked quite a response. John was performing ‘Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting’ when things went off-script. One fan reached to touch John and play around with his piano. In response, the performer said “f*** off” and stormed off stage, as seen in a TMZ YouTube video.
After the stage was cleared, John returned for some final words with his fans. “No more coming on stage on ‘Saturday Night’”, the singer scolded, “you f***** it up”. In a statement obtained by Noisey, Elton elaborated on why he got so furious. John explained that inviting fans onstage “is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me”. However, John described the fan as “rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him”.
