It looks like Michael Ball and Alfie Boe will have to share their Classic Brit Award trophy. The duo won Group of the Year and Album of the Year at the award show on Wednesday. Despite winning two awards, they were only given one statue when they took home the Group trophy. “You will have to rip it out of my cold dead hands”, Ball declared to his partner backstage, according to BBC News. To make up for it, the duo tried to take one of the life size prop statues from red carpet.

The pair caused quite a stir during the show. They took the stage while accepting the Album of the Year award, with Ball making a very memorable speech. “There is only one way I can thank this man publicly”, he said, before kissing Boe right on the lips. Talking to BBC News, Ball said winning the award was “genuinely one of the most thrilling moments I've had in my career...And to share it with a mate is fabulous”. The duo released their second album, ‘Together Again’, in October last year. The album featured covers of songs like ‘White Christmas’ and ‘New York, New York’ by Liza Minnelli.
