Francesca Orsi, senior vice president of HBO, has shared some important details about the new series of ‘Game of Thrones’. Orsi spoke at the INTV conference in Israel on March 13. She explained that she was at table readings for the season’s final episodes. “It was a really powerful moment in our lives and our careers”, she said, as TVLine reports. She teased the audience with a cryptic message “None of the cast had received the scripts prior”, and “one by one they started falling down to their deaths”. The SVP also detailed a 15 to 20 minute standing ovation after filming wrapped up. “It was amazing” she said, adding that “everyone looked down and looked up and tears were in their eyes”.

HBO has previously confirmed that the last series will not air until 2019. HBO president Casey Bloys told TVLine that that decision “was based on when [showrunners] felt that they could deliver a show that they are most proud of”. Star Maisie Williams also noted that the series will hit screens in April 2019. Stay tuned for more ‘Game of Thrones’ news.
