British-American actress Marina Sirtis has announced that she will be boycotting Starbucks. The ‘Star Trek’ actress took to Twitter to make the announcement. “Hey [Starbucks]. I will be buying my coffee elsewhere from now on”, Sirtis wrote. The star reposted a video originally shared by civil rights activist Shaun King. The video, which you can watch here, allegedly shows racism in one Starbucks store.

“Meet Brandon Ward. He was [at Starbucks] - about to make a purchase - and needed to use the restroom. They denied him the code”, wrote Shaun King on Twitter. “He then finds a white man, Weston, who came out of the restroom. He had not made a purchase but they gave HIM the code”.

Sirtis’s fans concurred her message in the replying tweets. “Horrible! Boycotting”, wrote Chrysataroth. Paul tweeted “Starbucks is clearly telling black people they are not welcome.  Fine with me. I’ll never go again”. NickManchester concurred, tweeting “I've boycotted them for years already. Wish I could stop giving them business all over again”.
