In Netflix original ‘The Crown’, Claire Foy plays a young Queen Elizabeth II. However, it seems like Claire isn’t that connected to the real royal family. The actress recently spoke about the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Foy explained that not only was she not invited, she won’t even be able to watch the wedding. Talking with the BBC at the TV Bafta Awards, Foy said “I'm going to a theatre matinee that day! But of course I'll watch the highlights”.
“I'll be at the theatre all day. I'm going to see a matinee and an evening performance”, she admitted. When asked if she’ll watch the highlights, Foy said “of course I will, of course I will”. Unfortunately, Foy didn’t take home any awards on the night, losing out in the Best Actress category. However, she will return to the big screen in ‘The Girl in the Spider's Web’, due out later this year. The royal wedding of Prince Harry and Ms. Markle will take place on May 19.
