Nev Schulman, the host and executive producer of the MTV reality series 'Catfish: The TV Show,' has been accused of sexual misconduct by a former contestant. Ayissha Morgan, who appeared on season four, took to YouTube to post a two-part series titled, 'The TRUTH about the show.'
In the videos, Morgan doesn't use Shulman's name but alludes to him as the "main guy on the show," saying he continually questioned her about her sexuality and allegedly inappropriately invited her to a hotel room.
Shulman responded to Morgan's accusations in a public statement on The Blast. The producer wrote, "The behavior described in this video did not happen and I'm fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth," he said. "I have always been transparent about my life and would always take responsibility for my actions — but these claims are false."
Due to the accusations, MTV has suspended 'Catfish' until an official investigation into the claims is made. "We take these allegations very seriously," a spokesperson for MTV told Teen Vogue. "We're working with Critical Content, our third-party production company, to conduct a thorough investigation."
