Presenter and DJ, Greg James, has faced widespread backlash for telling Taylor Swift that she needed to take a shower after performing. When Swift came off stage at the BBC Biggest Weekend in Swansea, James interviewed the pop star.

“It’s nice to see you,” James said. “I think you need to have a shower now.” Swift, however, had a positive reaction to the comment saying, “I agree! And I’m not offended that you said that! There’s a lot going on and none of it’s good.” Her fans, on the other hand, took to social media to discuss the relevance of the statement.

James took to Twitter to clear the air about his comment and friendship with Swift. “TS has a great sense of humour and we have known each other for ages and had a good catch up after the interview,” he wrote. “It’s all cool. It was hot up there. I almost said we should both go for a shower but after this reaction I’m glad I didn’t!”

Swift is currently performing her Reputation tour, and most likely still finds time to bathe within her busy schedule.
