Outspoken reality TV contestant Katie Hopkins has supported Roseanne's racist social media post.
The sitcom actress and writer provoked outrage when she attacked former Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett. She claimed that Jarrett, who was born in Iran to American parents, has connections to the Muslim Brotherhood, and compared her to an ape. Barr wrote “Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj”. Roseanne's original tweet has since been deleted and she claimed to be quitting the social media platform.
I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter.

Hopkins has recently been back in the news after winning a complaint against the Mirror, which published a headline that implied she was prevented from leaving South Africa for taking ketamine, rather than because she had been detained for allegedly spreading racial hatred.
Twitter users congratulated the newspaper for the way it handled the apology.
The Mirror's apology to Katie Hopkins is condescending on a level I genuinely aspire to ???????????? pic.twitter.com/Se5LV26hKD
