Suri vs Scientology: will Tom Cruise snub religion to see his daughter?
12-year-old Suri begs for reconciliation in heartbreaking letters
“He’s contacted Suri through a third party, who he trusts implicitly, to check in and make sure she’s OK,” a source close to the family told Hollywood Life. “He wants her to know that he’s thought of her all this time and he got all of her messages. In fact, he read and listened to each and every word. Tom’s paving the way to come back in Suri’s life permanently and many expect it to happen soon.”
So what has been blocking cruise from seeing Suri for so long? Many believe it is his controversial involvement in the Church of Scientology. With strict rules about communicating with those who are disowned by the church, Cruises ex-wife and Suri's mother, Katie Holmes has been silenced.
“Tom’s always been allowed to see Suri for 10 days a month, but he’s never taken Katie up on the offer to do so,” the source continued. "Tom couldn’t reach out before because Katie fled the religion,” they said.
Does this mean Cruise will go against Scientology to see Suri? Only time will tell if a father-daughter reunion actually takes place.
