While President Trump's time as the president of the United States has been filled with outlandish statements, this may just be the winner. At a political rally in Florida, Trump was making a statement about the need for voter ID cards, when he went a bit off the mark by saying that photo identification was needed to buy food—Trump has clearly never grocery shopped in his life.
Speaking to the audience, President Trump stated, "You know if you go out and you want to buy groceries you need a picture on a card. You need ID. You go out and you want to buy anything, you need ID and you need your picture. In this country, the only time you don’t need it in many cases is when you want to vote for a president, when you want to vote for a senator, when you want to vote for a governor or a congressman. It’s crazy. It’s crazy. But we’re turning it around."
All of the commoners who buy their own food regularly know that you absolutely do not need a photo ID to buy groceries, that would be "crazy." Tune in to see if President Trump holds his next rally at a supermarket.
