Famed actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been at odds with each other in a bitter custody battle. Now, Jolie has decided to fire her lawyer Laura Wasser in order to have Samantha Bley be her main counsel—What motivated the change?
“Angelina has decided to change counsel to Samantha Bley Dejean, as Samantha’s expertise is the protection and best interest of children,” Mindy Nyby, a spokesperson for the 43-year-old mother of six, told PEOPLE magazine. “Angelina appreciates Laura’s cooperation in transitioning the case over the past several weeks.”
Jolie and Pitt are in the middle of a custody battle over their six children: Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 10-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
The celebrity couple first met on-set of their 2005 film 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith.' They publicly dated for many years and got married in 2014. However, in 2016 they filed for divorce, claiming, irreconcilable differences. Now, the couple has been unable to come to agreeable terms in the custody battle for their children. Only time will tell if Jolie's change in council impacts the suit.
