Since the latest issue of Cosmopolitan UK hit the stands, many people have been weighing in with their opinions. Famed journalist and TV host, Piers Morgan took to social media to call-out celebrating obesity.

He wrote, "As Britain battles an ever-worsening obesity crisis, this is the new cover of Cosmo. Apparently, we're supposed to view it as a 'huge step forward for body positivity.' What a load of old baloney. This cover is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models."

The Cosmopolitan cover star is Tess Holliday, a model and social media personality who is vocal about struggling with body image and weight. In the story, Holliday addresses depression and sexual violence in contributing factors to her weight.

Reactions to Morgan's comments have been extremely divided. While some agree that glorifying extreme bodies on either side of the spectrum can be dangerous, others question why he has the right to fat-shame a woman who is a hero for many females who are dealing with similar circumstances.
