There is no doubt that Paul McCartney is a living legend and his prophesies should be taken seriously. However, this one may be a tad out of the ordinary for most readers. In an interview with the British newspaper, The Sunday Times, the former Beatles singer revealed that he saw God while on a psychedelic trip.
McCartney explained that he was incredibly "humbled" by the experience. He spoke of the trip, saying, "it was huge. A massive wall that I couldn't see the top of, and I was at the bottom. And anybody else would say it's just the drug, the hallucination, but we felt we had seen a higher thing." The 76-year-old musician went on to explain that he experienced his dearest departed loved ones, including his late-wife Linda "looking down" on him.
Anyone who has listened to the iconic sounds of The Beatles knows that the band was heavily influenced by psychedelic drugs, especially in their later years. McCartney remains one of the most popular performers touring today. He is currently promoting his newest album, 'Egypt Station,' which is the 17th solo album in McCartney's discography.
