CELEBRITY The beatles

Long-time fans of The Beatles are obsessing over Paul McCartney's string of recent revelations about the iconic band's secrets. First, it was group masturbation and now it's divulging John Lennon's harsh critiques.

As a guest on '60 Minutes' McCartney explained just how Lennon felt about some of the most famous songs in The Beatles discography. The bassist recalled the one single time Lennon gave him a compliment on a song.

"Once John gave me a compliment," McCartney said. "Once in the whole time." Explaining it was over his song 'Here, There and Everywhere,' McCartney recalled Lennon saying, "That’s a really good song, lad. I love that song. And I was like, ‘Yes! He likes it!’”

The official '60 Minutes' Twitter page shared a clip of the interview, writing, "How often did John Lennon compliment Paul McCartney’s songwriting? “It was only once the whole time.” Sir Paul McCartney gives Sharyn Alfonsi a look inside his creative process and some insight into the breakup of the Beatles. 60 Minutes, Sunday."

Paul McCartney's interview on '60 Minutes' is set to air Sunday, September 30 on CBS.
