CELEBRITY Chris hemsworth

The man who breathed new life into 'Thor' has quickly become a household name and a Hollywood heartthrob. But since then he's also become a father, and with that has come new insights. Spilling all to GQ Australia, he spoke frankly on how marriage and having children has changed his career.

Hemsworth admitted that he sometimes wonders what his career might look like if he hadn't met his wife, Spanish model Elsa Pataky. Of course, he doesn't regret his marriage—or at least he would be insane to admit that to a publication—but he did say that because he prioritized his family, his film roles have "suffered."

A deeply ponderous man, Hemsworth also said he sometimes wonders whether he started acting because he loved it or because he loved the payday. "I’ve arrived at a place of truth and while the attraction was a few things, one was definitely financially,” he said, adding that he wanted to give his family opportunities he didn't have himself growing up.

But, as they say: mo' money, mo' problems. Though Hemsworth has little to worry about as one of the best-paid actors, he admitted, “I feel gross about [my wealth].”

He recounted a time-old tale of saving up all year for a surfboard, and how it taught him how to work hard for what you want. The actor doesn't want his kids to miss out on that opportunity.

With famous parents and a boatload of money, those children are definitely going to have to work hard to not feel privileged.

Campo obrigatório
