CELEBRITY celebrity feud
Lena Dunham has a longstanding reputation of being unapologetically honest, however well-received her opinions are or not, and she didn't hold back on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.'
The 32-year-old 'Girls' star played a particularly revealing game of Plead the Fifth with the host, in which Cohen asked her several hard-hitting questions, starting with naming the biggest misogynist in Hollywood. Dunham thought long and hard about it, explaining that it was a tough question "because there's so many."
Ultimately she went with someone who doesn't have a lot of power in Hollywood, but who, she says, has used what little power he does have "for ill." That person is comedian and TV host Daniel Tosh.
"He said a really unkind thing about my breasts, but he said it in a context in which I felt like he was shutting down a lot of women for having bodies he didn't consider to be normative. It's sort of like he's a dumb one to mention since he can't do anything, because he's just some herb."
Maggie Gyllenhaal, the other guest on show delivered the final blow to his reputation by adding, "I don't actually even know who he is."
The last question was asked by one of Dunham’s 'Girls' co-stars, Andrew Rannells, who asked her to name her least favourite of her friend Taylor Swift’s boyfriends.
Cohen reminded her that she was seated next to the sister of one of Swift's exes, but she instead named—using air quotes around his name—Calvin Harris.
Dunham explained that she felt he was "petty in the public," perhaps referring to how he handled their split, "and who needs that?"
We can always count on Dunham to never plead the fifth.
