Blackface is a reminder of the entertainment industry's dark past. Historically, it was commonplace for actors to darken their skin, and impersonate other races, mainly black people. However, the offensive trend has not gone away, and many stars still seem to get in trouble over blackface.

The response was so great that the company actually distributed "disruptive behavior" guidelines, with the CEO reportedly claiming that he initially thought that it was a "minor snafu," but that he's actually "ignorant of the history and significance of blackface."
