Jeremy Renner -

Jeremy Renner famously ended up in hospital with more than 30 broken bones on New Year's Day, 2023, after getting run over by a snow plow. It was later revealed that Renner was trying to save his nephew from being hit by the vehicle when he got crushed. The 52-year-old actor had been using the plow to tow his nephew's car out of the snow, but he jumped out when it started to slide sideways down the hill due to the icy conditions. The 14,330-pound (6,500-kilogram) vehicle was headed straight for his nephew so Renner ran to try to stop it, but was pulled under its tracks and crushed in the process. 

The enormous machine reportedly rolled over Renner, collapsing the upper part of his torso and leaving him barely able to breathe. He was airlifted to hospital where he underwent two surgeries in the ICU. He was released two weeks later and underwent months of recovery at home.

Dev Patel -

Dev Patel got involved in a dangerous situation to help save a man's life in August 2022. The British actor was at a gas station in Adelaide, Australia, when a man and woman began fighting outside. He and the other customers initially looked on until the altercation moved inside the store and the woman pulled out a knife, stabbing the man in the chest. Patel and several others rushed forward to separate them and prevent any further violence. They managed to break up the fight and the injured man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries in hospital. The woman was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault. A rep for Patel said that the actor hopes the publicity surrounding the incident "highlights a larger systemic issue of marginalized members of society not being treated with the dignity and respect they deserve."

Johnny Depp -

Courtney Love showed her support for Johnny Depp during the infamous defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022. Love revealed that the actor once saved her life. “I don’t really wanna make judgments publicly. I just want to tell you that Johnny gave me CPR in 1995 when I overdosed outside The Viper Room,” Love said in a video posted to a friend’s Instagram. The iconic Sunset Strip club in West Hollywood was originally co-owned by Depp,  and at the time of the incident, Love was dealing with the tragic loss of husband Kurt Cobain, who took his life one year prior. Love also added in the video that Depp had reached out to her daughter on more than one occasion, including writing her a letter for her 13th birthday amid her mother's battle with addiction and even sending limousines to her school to take her friends to the 'Pirate of the Caribbean' movie premieres. "You know, she said to me when she was 13, ‘Mama, he saved my life,’" Love continued. "And she said it again.”

Julie Bowen -

In August 2021, 'Modern Family' star Julie Bowen became a real-life hero after saving an ill woman in the Utah mountains. The mother had been hiking with her husband and kids and told them to go on ahead while she rested for a minute. She was feeling light-headed and actually passed out, hitting the ground face-first and smashing her glasses. Bowen found the woman disorientated on the ground with wounds on her face. The woman recalls hearing a familiar voice telling her she was going to be okay, but it was a while before she realized who it was! Bowen helped her get medical attention and reunite with her family. It turned out that the woman had collapsed from dehydration, and ended up with five stitches and a fractured nose. That didn't stop her from getting a quick selfie with the famous actress who helped her!

Leonardo DiCaprio -

On December 30, 2019, DiCaprio was on board a boat that located a Frenchman who had been treading water for 11 hours before he was located, this near the island of St. Barts. The man had fallen off a cruise ship. Apparently the actor immediately agreed to having the vessel he was on diverted in order for the crew to save the man.

Danny Trejo -

On August 7, 2019, the 'Machete' actor rescued a baby trapped in a car seat in an overturned vehicle in Los Angeles. Two vehicles had crashed, causing the rollover. With the help of a bystander, Trejo was able to get the baby out of the car seat, away from the vehicle, and ultimately saved the day.

Ken Jeong - You might not know this, but 'The Hangover' star is a licensed medical doctor. When a fan had a seizure during his stand-up show in Phoenix, Jeong rushed to help her and stayed with her until she recovered.

Winslet was staying at the Caribbean mansion of her friend Sir Richard Branson during Hurricane Irene in 2011. After a lightning bolt hit the house and caused a fire, she was able to carry Branson's 90-year-old mother to safety.
