The Hollywood heartthrobs voted 'Sexiest Men Alive'

Every year, People magazine pays keen attention to all the famous men who stride down red carpets, gathering notes and taking votes to select which star will be given the honor of Sexiest Man Alive. The list, like the title, is impressive, with some predictable entries, some long forgotten, and some controversial.
This year's winner, however, surprises no one. McDreamy is finally getting the recognition he deserves! People named Patrick Dempsey the Sexiest Man Alive in 2023. “I was completely shocked," Dempsey said, describing the moment he found out. "And then I started laughing, like, this is a joke, right? I’ve always been the bridesmaid!” At 57, the actor wasn't expecting the title to come his way. Despite joking that he "peaked" many years ago, Dempsey's career is still going strong (as are his excellent genes!). After spending more than a decade playing Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd in the hit series 'Grey's Anatomy,' he is now starring in the upcoming 'Ferrari' biopic as Italian race car driver Piero Taruffi.
“I’m glad it’s happening at this point in my life,” Dempsey told People. “It’s nice to have the recognition, and certainly my ego takes a little bump, but it gives me the platform to use it for something positive.” One cause close to his heart is the Dempsey Center, an organization he started in honor of his late mother to support cancer patients and their families.
