FASHION Ethics
Five years ago the Rana Plaza factory collapse took the lives of over 1,000 people and exposed the reality of fashion workers’ conditions worldwide. So how far have we come since then? A new study shows that the world of fashion still isn’t safe and ethical enough. The Fashion Revolution Week has returned for its fifth year, along with the Fashion Transparency Index.
The index reviewed 150 of fashion’s biggest brands in areas including commitments, governance, and traceability. The study found how open fashion brands were about their suppliers, as well as their environmental impact.
