Polo Bar is the London location you need to know. It’s found in the centre of the city, opposite Liverpool Street Train Station. Tables are decorated in red and white tiles, and breakfast treats are displayed on the windows. Customers range from tourists to city workers, after anything from bacon sandwiches to a quick pint. There’s just one thing different about this place though, its open 24 hours, seven days a week. Manager and owner Philip Inzani talked to Munchies about his quirky establishment. “It’s actually more difficult to close because we haven’t even got a door”, he jokes.

So how did Polo Bar come about? “The place used to belong to my dad's aunt, then it changed hands, and I took it over about four years ago”, Inzani clarifies. If he told you everything he’d seen while working here, “you’[d] be here until four o’clock”. There have been famous boxers, Asian dance troupes, and even directors of huge global companies. “We've got a 24-hour alcohol licence which is a rare thing in London [...] but it's not always easy and you've got to be careful”. Doormen are in attendance at night, to make sure no troublemakers sneak into Polo Bar.
