LIFESTYLE Chores

Want to spice up your sex life? Try cleaning once in a while. A new study proved that couples who split household chores have more sex.

CreditLoan.com interviewed 993 partners that live together and asked how splitting household work related to satisfaction within the relationship. The survey proved that couples who equally divided cleaning responsibilities—especially dusting and tidying the bathroom—had sex more frequently than when women did all of the household chores.

“There are a lot of things that are involved in the sex drive. It’s not just physical; there’s a big emotional and psychological component, as well. If someone is feeling more supported, their partner is more likely to get lucky,” psychologist Patricia Thompson said, according to Moneyish. “If a woman is less stressed, she is probably more likely to be intimate. If people have a lot going on, and they’re tired, then sex can feel like something else they have to do. If they’re not as tired, or less stressed, then they’re more able to relax — and more likely to want to connect to a partner.”

Perhaps this week's date night will be spent cleaning at home together. There's nothing like a little "choreplay" to get you in the mood.
