Leaked documents have revealed how Facebook deals with nude pictures, among other things. Training materials for Facebook’s moderators have been leaked on the internet. Above all, the documents show that the company’s approach to nudity is always changing. The training materials detail how to combat malicious use of people’s nude pictures. On the internet, users have shared intimate photos of their ex-partners without their consent. Other users can use intimate photos to blackmail their victims.

So how does Facebook respond to these cases? The company has been disabling the accounts of victims that receive “unsolicited adult nude genitalia imagery sharing”, Motherboard reports. Facebook apparently tells its moderators to delete nude images for violating their policy on nudity. In a statement to Motherboard, the company said “we use photo-matching technologies to help prevent further sharing of images”. They added that Facebook has “a dedicated team of content reviewers who are trained to review and remove them”>
