Do you think you're a great best friend? Put your skills to the test by being a professional bridesmaid or groomsman. It sounds like a joke, but anyone who has gone through the stresses of being a bride or groom knows that having a team of professional friends could be a huge help on the big day.

The New York-based companies, BridesMaidForHire.com and GroomsManForHire, are there to pair people with stand-in friends. According to the job posting, the position is basically for informal wedding planners. The range of duties includes everything from running errands to planning the bachelorette/bachelor party, as well as attending the wedding ceremony and helping welcome in guests. The best part? Being a professional friend pays well. According to the site, Jen Glantz, the creator of the service, racks up around $1,000 a day as a bridesmaid.

To make sure your special day runs according to plan, consider a professional bridesmaid or groomsman. Who knows, maybe at the end of it you'll be saying, 'I Love You, Man.'
