2. Petrichor
When it is about to rain, the Earth releases a distinct smelling oil called petrichor. After the rain pours we are left with that distinctive, somewhat romantic petrichor smell.

3. Swullocking
People living on the East Coast know this weather well but may not know the word for it. In the middle of summer, when the weather is hot, sticky and humid, you are experiencing weather that is swullocking.
