A survey from Dr. Ed, an online doctor, looked at the sexual preferences of 500 Americans and 500 Europeans, evaluating where people prefer to have public sex. According to an expert, people usually engage in public sex because they find the chance of being caught or watched exciting. The respondents of the study especially found the following places ideal for public sex:

1. In a park, lawn, forest or garden (26.1%)
2. In a car (16.1%)
3. At the beach or in the ocean (12.7%)
4. In a public toilet (5.6%)
5. At the cinema (2.6%)
6. At school, at a university, or in the library (2.4%)
7. In a dressing room (2%)
8. In the pool (1.8%)
9. On the balcony (1.6%)
10. At work (1.4%)

It's important to say that as exciting as it may sound, public sex can be regarded as a public offense. Even if you have sex in your home but can be seen through the windows, this can be considered public. The penalties vary from each country, but in some you may have to answer for it in court, pay a fine, or even go to jail for a short period.
