Lily James will star in a new film directed by Danny Boyle, IMDB reports. The ‘Baby Driver’ actress is in talks with Working Title and Universal Title. The film will be a comedy written by famed screenwriter Richard Curtis. He’s the man behind classic British comedies like ‘Love Actually’, ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’, and ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’.
Is Lily James the next British icon? The actress had a stellar 2017, starring in Oscar-nominated films ‘Baby Driver’ and ‘Darkest Hour’. This year, James will steal the screen in ‘Little Woods’, ‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again’ and ‘The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society’. Danny Boyle’s most-recent film was the gripping ‘Steve Jobs’ in 2015. He has also been tipped to direct a new James Bond film. Richard Curtis’s last effort was writing Brazilian thriller ‘Trash’ in 2014. He also wrote and directed ‘About Time’, starring Domhnall Gleeson and Rachel McAdams.
