A feature-length documentary about music icon Tina Turner will be presented for possible investment at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Page Six, the film will focus on Turner's life and career, with interviews with the artist herself as well as friends and musical collaborators. Set to begin production later this year, the documentary promises a never before seen angle on Turner's turbulent life story.
The working title is 'Tina Turner,' and filmmakers Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin are set to head the project. As the creators of successes such as the Emmy Award-winning 'LA 92' and Academy Award-winning 'Undefeated,' audiences look forward to seeing how they craft this production.
Famous record producer and Turner's husband, Erwin Bach will executive produce the piece in collaboration with Tali Pelman of Stage Entertainment, which launched 'Tina Turner the Musical' as a West End performance in London, UK.
The 'Tina Turner' documentary will be presented at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19.
