Video game 'Fortnite' is getting an 'Avengers' makeover
'Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup' starts May 8
In 'Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup,' the evil villain Thanos from 'Avengers: Infinity War' will feature in the Battle Royale mode of 'Fortnite' starting Tuesday, May 8.
Users will be able to track down the Infinity Gauntlet and even compete against rival players to become Thanos himself. The additions will come in a variable of different abilities and actions including:
Ability 1 - A mighty punch that knocks enemies back and destroys structures.
Ability 2 - Thanos flies towards the ground, hitting an area for knockback and damage.
Ability 3 - Harness the energy of the Power stone to fire a blast that deals damage over time.
Ability 4 - A super-jump that can vault Thanos over all but the largest obstructions.
This mashup is especially noteworthy because it may reach past the gaming community and into the giant Marvel following. According to Epic Games, the creator of 'Fortnite,' the mashup was devised over "a simple phone conversation between Epic and Marvel over a mutual appreciation for Fortnite and Avengers."
