Nile Rodgers has been named chief creative advisor at Abbey Road studios. The pioneering funk musician will help nurture rising stars, as well as serve as a producer for the biggest artists around. Rodgers also gets the chance to use the studio as his own creative base. Speaking with BBC News, the musician couldn’t contain his excitement. “Come on, it's Abbey Road! The Beatles made all their stuff here”, he said. Rodgers also talked about the high profile location of the studios. “Every day I come to work, there's always somebody out there recreating the zebra crossing scene… every single day”.

Rodgers told BBC News that he’d always dreamt of working at the studio. The producer also explained that though the studio has a mythical history, its future is as bright as ever. He detailed the “new technologies” in development there, “I want my new stuff to sound amazing”. The producer also hinted at future collaborations with Disclosure and Bruno Mars.
