Last year, Bill Murray announced he was switching careers to become a classical musician. The actor released his debut album, ‘New Worlds’, soon after. Murray wasn’t playing around, going on to tour in North America with German cellist Jan Vogler.
Now, Murray has announced a couple of special UK dates to perform his classical tracks. He will perform at the Southbank Centre in London on June 4. Shortly after, he will play at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh on June 18. “I am bathing in this experience, really, I can’t get enough of it”, Murray declared in a press release obtained by Dazed.
‘New Worlds’ is an album that combines music and literature. During concerts, Murray reads excerpts from classic American books and poetry to renditions of Bach and Van Morrison. For more information, head over to Live Nation.
