Stormzy has shot down claims he took class A drugs, following rumours about a suspicious Instagram video. The since-deleted clip showed Stormzy playing poker with his friends with several sachets of white powder in view. As reported by NME, the ‘Shut Up’ rapper is heard saying “wow” as he pans the camera. There was also a caption with the text “don’t” in capital letters.

A spokesperson for Stormzy denied drug usage in a statement to NME. “There was 100% no coke or class A drugs present at the house”, they said. The representative added that “Stormzy does not take, has never taken, and does not associate himself with or in any way promote or condone, class A drugs”. Sounds pretty convincing.

Hopefully drug rumours don’t stop Stormzy’s chances of playing at the Royal Wedding. The rapper said he would be down, “if I get an invite” in a statement to NME. Ladbrokes have the odds of 5-1 for playing at Windsor Castle on May 19.
