Kylie Minogue has opened up about her career in a revealing new interview. The Australian icon said “I was probably meant to be a one hit wonder in many people’s eyes”, as reported by NME. Minogue added that she thought she was “just going to keep on acting, and singing might take off. So you just never know”. The pop singer explained her success as “so much of it is destiny, a lot of it is hard work”.
Minogue turns 50 in May and has maintained a lasting career in the music business. She released her debut album ‘Kylie’ in 1988, supported by the hit singles “I Should Be So Lucky” and ‘The Loco-Motion’. Over the following 30 years, she has released 13 hit albums, including ‘Fever’ and ‘Body Language’. “I remember 50 just being ancient [when I was a teenager]”, Minogue said.
Kylie Minogue will release her new album ‘Golden’ on April 6, 2018.
