Rita Ora has announced a star-studded new single, ‘Girls’. The singer hopped on Twitter to announce the song, which features stars from both sides of the pond. “I’m so happy to finally announce my new single GIRLS feat some amazing powerful women who have inspired me so much!”, Rita wrote. She’s joined by Cardi B, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX. You can hear the song on May 11.
Cardi B is the New York rapper who made a splash with ‘Bodak Yellow’, reaching number 24 on the UK Singles Chart. Bebe Rexha is another New York star, who reached number 11 on the Singles Chart with her song ‘Meant to Be’. Charli XCX is the singer behind hits ‘Boom Clap’ and ‘Boys’. She previously worked with Rita Ora back in 2015, on the hit song ‘Doing It’.
‘Girls’ is also the name of Ora’s upcoming tour, which kicks off on May 11. The singer will start with a show at the O2 Academy in Glasgow. From there, Ora will play shows in Leeds, London, and Bristol, before heading overseas for dates in Amsterdam, Paris, and Antwerp. Despite the name, Rita described the tour as a “gender free zone” on Twitter.
