The Arctic Monkeys have launched a series of pop-up shops around the world. The band’s new album, ‘Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino’, is out everywhere on May 11. Six stores will open the same day, offering fans a host of interesting treats. Another few stores will open the following weekend. There, fans can take home “unique and limited album and merchandise items”, as reported by NME. One pop-up will be located in the band’s hometown of Sheffield. Others can be found in New York, Sydney, Berlin, Paris, and Tokyo.
Arctic Monkeys made the choice not to release any singles before releasing their new album. They will, however, embark on an expansive tour around the world to support the record. They will start with a show at Brooklyn Steel in New York City on May 9. The band will head to the UK on July 1, with a headline slot at TRNSMT festival in Scotland. They will return in September, with shows in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Newcastle, and Sheffield.
