The best transportation apps for travelers
As Tolkien said, "Not all who wander are lost"
While Google Maps and Wayz have become traveling staples among many, but there are some new apps that are changing the travel game.
The Android app MAPS.ME is listed as one of the most helpful travel apps by Indie Traveler among others, largely for its map download function that allows you to use the app without wifi.
While Google Maps has recently updated its capabilities to download maps, MAPS.ME is still known to be more detail-oriented with directions on even the most rural back roads. Public transit locations, tourist attractions, and even one-way streets are mapped.
When it comes to public transportation and shuttles, Rome2Rio is just the ticket. If you simply type in where you are and your destination, and the app gives you options and prices for buses, trains, and flights.
Travel is becoming increasingly more simple and accessible, so why not book that trip for 2018? Keep calm and wander on!
