Seth Rogen will remake British comedy series ‘Plebs’ for an American audience. Starring Joel Fry and Tom Rosenthal (‘The Inbetweeners’), the ITV2 series first aired in 2013 and lasted three seasons. As reported by NME, Rogen’s production company Point Grey Pictures is developing the remake, in a partnership with UK company Rise Films.

‘Plebs’ centres around Marcus (Tom Rosenthal) and Stylax (Joel Fry) as they go about their business in ancient Rome. Producers are currently working on Series 4, which will hit screens some time in 2018.

Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures has produced a number of hit films and TV. Adult comedy ‘Sausage Party’ surprised audiences with slapstick humour and an all-star cast. ‘The Disaster Artist’, directed and starring James Franco, was a hit with audiences and won Franco a Golden Globe. ‘Plebs’ won’t be the first TV series produced by Rogen. Superhero show ‘Preacher’ was produced and directed by the comedian, causing a stir with millions of viewers every episode
