The era of 'Broad City' is coming to an end
Madonna, Rihanna, Ilana
While all of the "Kweens" and "Jewesses" who worshipped the Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson comedy duo will be mourning this great loss, fear not, because this is hardly their end of creation. Already signing a new development deal with Comedy Central, audiences should be expecting new work from Glazer and Jacobson shortly following the series's close, according to reports from Nylon.
"Broad City’s Abbi and Ilana may appear to be aimless and full of hair-brained schemes, but Abbi and Ilana IRL have proven to be stellar creator/writer/performer/director/producers,” Kent Alterman, the network's president, said. “Their supreme focus on telling new stories, in new worlds, with new talent is nearly scary.”
'Broad City' will be airing its fifth and final season in early 2019.
