The long-awaited American reboot of ‘Utopia’ has found a home. The series originally aired on Channel 4 from January 2013 to August 2014. ‘Utopia’ follows a bunch of strangers who band together after discovering a mysterious graphic novel. Now, ‘Utopia’ will head to US screens thanks to Amazon Studios. Author Gillian Flynn inked a deal with the studio with ‘Utopia’ as her first project. The series was originally created by Dennis Kelly.
“‘Utopia’ is pure creative catnip to me... Dennis Kelly’s show blew my mind, and he has been so incredibly generous in letting me crack open his world and play around in it and make it my own weird, wild place”, Flynn said, as reported by IMDB. “It’s a series that’s urgent and current and a little holy-crap!, but a hell of a lot of a fun”, she added.
Gillian Flynn is best known as the author of hit crime novel ‘Gone Girl’.
