The BBC has announced its team of presenters for the royal wedding. Dermot O’Leary and Scarlett Moffatt are among the big names, also including Kirsty Young and Huw Edwards. Moffatt will also act as royal correspondent for BBC Radio 1. The company hopes to “bring the nation together” with its coverage, as put on the BBC website.
Before the big day, O’Leary, Young and Edwards will host ‘They’re Getting Married In the Morning’. On May 19, Young and O’Leary will report from the moat outside Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will tie the knot. Huw Edwards will report from the roof of the Guard Room. Talking to BBC News, Edwards said he’s “thrilled to be part of the presenting team for the royal wedding celebrations”. Meanwhile presenters Alex Jones, Ore Oduba and Anita Rani will be reporting reactions from around Windsor.
Ms Markle and Prince Harry will marry on May 19, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle at 12:00.
