'This is Us' significantly boosted Crock-Pot sales
TV This is Us
Following the January 23 episode of the series, audiences took to Twitter to share their own fears of slow cooker fires. One user wrote, "My mom just threw our crockpot out #ThisIsUs #SOSIMILAR." Another user said, "What I learned from tonight’s episode of @ThisIsUsNBC — it’s probably time for me to ditch this 50-year-old #crockpot handed down from my parents. #ThisIsUs @ThisIsUsWriters"

While you may think this devastating episode would mean bad press for the cooking equipment company, months later, Ad Age has now reported that Crock-Pot sales have gone up by a whopping $300,892. Mark Renshaw, a representative for the company, explained that “Sales actually rebounded. Not only did we restore the brand and restore the reputation and trust, but we got, actually, a sales lift out of it.” Talk about blowing the PR fire in the right direction.
While there is no official date, 'This is Us' is expected to return to NBC for season three in Fall of 2018.
