David Tennant has joined the cast for ‘There She Goes’, a new comedy drama on BBC Four. Tennant will play the father of Rosie, a girl with severe learning disabilities. The show was written by Shaun Pye, whose own daughter has a rare chromosomal disorder. The show will see Tennant reunite with Jessica Hynes, who will play Rosie’s mother. The two previously shared the screen in ‘Doctor Who’.
‘There She Goes’ has been commissioned for a five-part series. Each episode is intended to let audiences in to what life is like for a disabled child. Simon and Emily (Tennant and Hynes) must teach Rosie lessons such as not every day being her birthday.
